Things I’ve Learned about Worship Pt. 2
9. Delayed obedience is disobedience….which is a sin.
10. Everything I do as a worship leader, everything the team does as musicians and vocalist, everything Pastor says, everything goes through the hands of the Sound Operator. Make sure he is: gifted, has a ministry mindset, committed, appreciated, informed, and is willing to train others.
11. Worship is a response to God calling us out
12. Energy is everything when creating an environment. Have FUN!
13. Work hard on creating opportunities where people (on stage and off) feel like they are changing the world.
14. Find out if your role as a worship leader in the office is to just pitch ideas or to pursue them also.
15. Don’t have a union mentality when leading worship in the church. Follow the leadership of the church. Don’t defend yourself, your style, or your music. If you are following your pastors vision you are completely covered.
16. Look at the generations who feel like they are done or maybe feel they have less relevance (the old folks) and find a way to help them get involved. They can’t diss anything they helped build.
