Things I’ve Learned about Worship PT. 1

these are in no special order.  just random nuggets i’ve learned about leading worship and the act of worship.

1. Find out from the pastor you will be sharing the service with what his views are on successful worship.

2. Keep past worship sets documented and organized.

3. Never stop looking for musically talented people.  Never stop recruiting even when the bench is full.

4. ALWAYS work hard to create positive communication with all tech. people.  Respond positively to negative feedback.  You have to have these guys.

5. The past worship experiences will determine the speed of change for future/new worship experiences.

6. ALWAYS be led by the Spirit. Look, Listen, and Feel for opportunities to veer away from the game plan to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.

7. Get out of the way every once and a while. Train up future worship leaders.  ”It’s better to train 100 men than it is to work like 100 men…even though it’s harder.”  Dwight L. Moody

8.  Assess entire sound systems campus wide to see what extent you will be able to do your job.
